Wiring & Rewiring

Knob-and-tube, aluminum, and tired old circuits replaced with clean, code-compliant copper. Licensed, insured, and always with a free quote before we start, anywhere in Toronto or the GTA.

What we do

A lot of GTA housing stock is running on wiring that predates how we live now. Century homes may still carry knob-and-tube; many houses wired in the late 1960s and 70s have aluminum branch wiring; and plenty of homes just don’t have enough circuits for today’s kitchens, offices, and chargers. Old wiring shows up as insurance headaches, warm switch plates, and breakers that can’t keep up, and in the worst cases as a genuine fire risk.

We rewire houses people are living in, which means planning the job room by room, keeping power on where we can, and patching access holes cleanly. Every rewire and new circuit is filed with the Electrical Safety Authority and inspected, and we give you the documentation your insurer asks for. The quote is free and itemized, the price is approved before we open a wall, and the finished work is covered by our 1-year workmanship warranty.

How it works

Quote. Work. Warranty.

  1. Free assessment and quote

We inspect the panel, open a few devices, and map what wiring the house actually has. You get a written, itemized quote for exactly what needs replacing, and what can safely stay.

  2. Rewire in stages

We replace old runs with new copper circuit by circuit, keeping as much of the house live as possible and coordinating access holes so drywall repair stays minimal and predictable.

  3. ESA inspection and paperwork

The job is filed with the ESA and inspected, and you receive the certificate, the document insurers ask for. Everything we installed is covered by our 1-year workmanship warranty.

Common questions

Do I have to rewire the whole house at once?

Not usually. After we map the wiring we’ll tell you what’s a genuine hazard, what your insurer will care about, and what can wait. Many customers phase the work: bedrooms one visit, kitchen and basement the next. We plan circuits so nothing gets done twice. The quote is free, it’s broken out by stage, and you approve the price before we start any of it.

Is aluminum wiring actually dangerous, or just an insurance thing?

Aluminum branch wiring from the late 60s and 70s isn’t automatically unsafe, but its connections loosen over time, and that’s where overheating starts. Depending on the house, the right fix ranges from properly rated connectors at every device to full replacement, and we’ll tell you honestly which your home needs. The work is filed with the ESA, inspected, and documented so your insurer has what it needs.
