Troubleshooting & Repairs

Flickering lights, dead outlets, tripping breakers: we find the actual fault and fix it properly. Licensed, insured, and always with a free quote before we start, anywhere in Toronto or the GTA.

What we do

Electrical faults rarely announce themselves clearly. A breaker that trips once a week, an outlet that died for no reason, lights that dim when the furnace kicks in. The symptom is usually rooms away from the cause. Troubleshooting is the detective work: tracing the circuit, isolating the fault, and finding out whether it’s a worn device, a bad splice buried in a junction box, or something more serious that shouldn’t wait.

We diagnose methodically instead of guessing: test, isolate, confirm. Then we explain what we found in plain language, quote the repair for free, and get your approval before anything is replaced. Most faults are fixed in the same visit, and if the problem points to something bigger, like an overloaded service or failing wiring, you get a straight answer about how urgent it actually is. Every repair we make is backed by our 1-year workmanship warranty.

When to call us

  • Half a room lost power and you can’t find the cause

How it works

Quote. Work. Warranty.

  1. Book a diagnostic visit

Tell us the symptoms and we’ll schedule a visit, same week for most calls. Quotes are free, and if the fix is bigger than a service call, you approve the price before we proceed.

  2. Trace and isolate

We test the circuit end to end, from the panel through devices and junctions, until the fault is isolated. You get a plain-language explanation of what failed and why, not just a part number.

  3. Fix it properly

We repair the cause, not the symptom, verify the circuit under load, and tidy up before we go. The repair is covered by our 1-year workmanship warranty.

Common questions

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

A breaker that trips is doing its job. The question is why. Common causes we find are overloaded circuits, a failing appliance, a loose or overheating connection, and ground faults from moisture. Resetting it over and over without finding the cause is how small problems become fires. We trace the circuit, identify the actual fault, and quote the fix for free before doing any repair work.

Is a burning smell or buzzing outlet an emergency?

Treat it seriously. A burning smell, a hot outlet, or persistent buzzing usually means a connection is arcing or overheating, the conditions that start electrical fires. Stop using that outlet or circuit, switch the breaker off if you can identify it, and call us. We prioritize these calls, diagnose the fault on site, and confirm the repair with you before starting. If you see smoke or flame, call 911 first.
