Done right, it also fixes the flicker and buzz that come from pairing old dimmers with new LED loads.
We start by looking at what’s behind the switch plate, since many smart switches need a neutral conductor in the box and not every older Toronto home has one. Then we recommend controls that actually match your fixtures and habits. Installation is done to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, with an ESA notification filed when we’re adding or modifying wiring. We swap in dimmers, sensors, and smart switches rated for your loads, pull any wiring the setup needs, then program scenes, schedules, and sensor timeouts so everything behaves the way you asked.

Common questions
Will smart dimmers work with my existing LED pot lights?
Usually, but the dimmer and the fixture have to be matched. Flicker, buzzing, and lights that won’t dim below half brightness almost always trace back to a dimmer that wasn’t designed for LED loads. We check what’s installed, confirm compatibility before recommending anything, and only install controls rated for your fixtures. Quotes are free, and you approve the price before any work starts.
Do I need an ESA inspection for new dimmers or smart switches?
A straight swap of a switch for a dimmer on existing wiring is minor work. Once we’re adding circuits, running new wiring, or installing a control panel, we file a notification with the Electrical Safety Authority and the work gets inspected. That’s standard for this kind of job, and we handle the paperwork. Either way, everything we install meets the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and carries our 1-year workmanship warranty.
