Inspections & Safety Upgrades
Know exactly what’s behind your walls, with inspections and safety upgrades from a licensed contractor. Licensed, insured, and always with a free quote before we start, anywhere in Toronto or the GTA.
What we do
An electrical inspection tells you what a home’s wiring actually is, not what the listing says. Buyers use them before waiving conditions on an older house; owners use them when an insurer asks about knob-and-tube, aluminum, or a 60-amp service; landlords use them to document a rental. Alongside inspections, we handle the safety upgrades that follow: hard-wired smoke and CO alarms, GFCI and AFCI protection, and whole-home surge protection.
We go through the panel, a sampling of devices, visible wiring, and grounding, then give you a written report in plain language: what’s fine, what’s aging, and what’s an actual hazard, ranked so you’re not scared into work you don’t need. If upgrades make sense, we quote them for free and you approve the price before anything starts. Upgrade work is done to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and carries our 1-year workmanship warranty.

How it works
Quote. Work. Warranty.
Book the inspection
We schedule around you, before an offer deadline if you’re buying. You’ll know exactly what the inspection covers up front, and any follow-up work is quoted free with prices approved before it starts.
Inspect and report
We check the service, panel, grounding, visible wiring, and a sampling of outlets and fixtures, then walk you through a written report that separates real hazards from cosmetic issues.
Upgrade and document
Approved upgrades like alarms, GFCI, and surge protection are installed to code, with ESA notification where the work requires it, documented for your insurer, and backed by our 1-year workmanship warranty.

Common questions
Will your inspection report satisfy my insurance company?
In most cases, yes. Insurers asking about knob-and-tube, aluminum wiring, fuse panels, or 60-amp services want an assessment from a licensed electrical contractor, and our reports document exactly what we found, with photos where useful. We’re an ESA-licensed contractor (ECRA/ESA #7019085), which is what insurers are checking for. If they require remediation, we quote that work for free and you approve pricing before anything starts.
What’s the difference between GFCI and AFCI protection, and do I need both?
They protect against different failures. GFCI devices cut power when current leaks to ground, the shock hazard around sinks, tubs, and outdoor outlets. AFCI devices detect arcing from damaged or loose wiring, the kind of fault that starts fires inside walls. Today’s code calls for both in different parts of a home; in an older house we’ll tell you where adding them gives real protection without rewiring everything.
